Engineers from STEMMER IMAGING were on hand to witness Bloodhound SSC in trial runs held at Cornwall Airport, Newquay. The jet and rocket powered car has made significant progress towards its goal of achieving a speed of 1000 mph and a new world land speed record. It reached a speed of 210 mph during one of the trials.
The new Teledyne DALSA Piranha4 Polarization line scan camera represents a breakthrough in machine vision by revealing non-visible properties of materials that cannot be detected with conventional imaging. With three independent polarisation detection channels, this innovative camera enables high-speed, real-time detection of birefringence, stress, surface roughness, film thickness, and other physical properties.
As of November 1, FiberOptic AG in Spreitenbach (Switzerland) has taken over the entire production of the Volpi standard products for machine vision. This applies to light sources, fibre optic systems as well as to LED illumination solutions. STEMMER IMAGING now has responsiblity for the worldwide distribution of the new FiberOptic portfolio and will continue to provideits customers with the usual reliable service – from consulting and order processing to delivery.
