VRmagic is expanding its series of intelligent cameras with three new models featuring high-resolution sensors. The programmable Linux-based cameras will be available at VISION 2011 also with the Sony ICX445 CCD sensor and the CMOS sensor CMV 2000 and CMV 4000 by CMOSIS.
The Mannheim based manufacturer completes its series of intelligent cameras with these high-resolution Global Shutter sensors covering resolutions from 0.36 up to 4.2 megapixels. Combined with the imaging capabilities of the DaVinci dual core processor the new models are extremely powerful components for applications where image processing tasks are performed directly in the camera without the use of an additional PC.
The new VRmagic models are available in monochrome and colour, as a board- level version or in high-quality aluminium housing with C-mount. Special designs such as remote sensor or multi-sensor cameras with up to four pixel- synchronous external sensors will be equipped with the Sony ICX445 CCD.
Furthermore, VRmagic’s series of Smart Components will be complemented by an FPGA chip and an USB interface with the sensors mentioned above.
