APG: Robot Camera Protection

22 Feb 2012

The APG (Allison Park Group) 24C-Series, comprising lightweight camera protection housings, are specifically tailored for robotics applications.

The robust housings of the APG 24C-Series are suitable for all cameras with a cross section of up to 44mm x 30mm, such as the AVT Manta, Guppy, Stingray, DALSA Genie, JAI?CM-030?GE and Sony?XC-HR50/XC-ST50. Additionally, a ring light of up to 55mm in diameter can be mounted inside the housing.

All housing models are made of aluminium and comply with the protection class IP65. A further highlight surely is the access to the mounted camera and optics without the need for tools. The housing comes with a standard PG21 cable gland.

Depending on the type of application and operation, additional options such as integrated cooling or a tilt/pan head can be selected. Available materials for the front window are either glass or transparent plastic. An optional air curtain is recommended for environments with high dust, water or oil content. Pressurised air is being applied on the front window and effectively avoids contamination.
